The Graduate School for Economics, Finance and Management (GSEFM) is a joint graduate school of Goethe University Frankfurt, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Technische Universität Darmstadt, and the Leibniz Institute for Financial Research SAFE. It brings together leading expertise in economics, finance, and management to train the next generation of researchers and policymakers.
Our programs follow international best-practice standards: research-driven teaching, early engagement in academic work, and close links to policy institutions. Students develop strong analytical and methodological skills and contribute to research that addresses real-world challenges. What sets GSEFM apart is its interdisciplinary approach. We connect fields such as macroeconomics, finance, econometrics, management, and law to provide a solid scientific basis for economic policy and decision-making.
GSEFM offers Master of Science programs in Quantitative Accounting, Quantitative Economics, Quantitative Finance, and Quantitative Marketing, as well as Ph.D. programs in Accounting, Economics, Finance, and Marketing. A structured program design supports students from coursework to independent research and successful placement on the international job market.
With more than 230 students from over 40 countries and around 50 faculty members, GSEFM is a vibrant and diverse academic community at the heart of Europe’s financial center.
